2017 KP History Contest held at KOA USA East Coast camp was our first event to encourage KP Youth to learn about our history.

KP kids/youths from North America were asked to produce short videos on five different topics pertaining to KP History.The top three positions were given a cash award of $1000, $500 and $250 respectively. The five topics on which they needed to produce short videos were

 

•  King Harsha

•  Lalitaditya Muktapida

•  Kota Rani

•  Shah Mir

•  Seven Exoduses of Kashmiri Pandits

Contest Winners : Thirteen contestants/teams participated in this event. As part of the process we had to pick winners but we saw that each contestant/team had worked hard on this project and we truly appreciate their efforts.

The top three videos were

• $1,000  Award Winner

  • Vidhya Dhar's video on Lalitaditya Muktapida

• $500  Award Winner

  • Niharika and Nakul Dar's video about Shah Mir

• $250 Award Winner

  • Sheerin Raina's video about Lalitaditya Muktapida

• 4th and 5th positions were given special prize of $125/each

  • Suraj Pandit's video about King Harsha​

  • Seven Exoduses of Kashmiri Pandits
